- Brush: Semogue 1800
- Razor: Weck Hair Shaper
- Blade: Kismet Rostfrei
- Lather: Noble Otter - Two Kings
- Post Shave: Noble Otter - Two Kings
- Fragrance: Noble Otter - Two Kings
After yesterday with Barrbarr, I wanted another Noble Otter shave. Two Kings with the rose note felt like a decent spring scent. Our last surviving rose bush bloomed a couple weeks ago, so I think it fits the mood. We’ve been really up and down temp wise this year, but today with blue skies and temps in the 70s, I feel like this fits. Rawr is my usual favorite spring scent with its grassy dandelion notes, but Two Kings is a more floral approach.
The Semogue is pretty well broken in now. I can see lots of split hairs. It has the least amount of backbone among my newer boars. I have an old Rubberset brush that is floppier, but that is because of how long the bristles are. This brush is soft because the knot isn’t as dense as my Zeniths or SOC. I’ve definitely gotten back in the Weck groove. Just don’t do more than two passes on my neck, which is what I shave daily.
