Back from the wilderness. This seemed like an appropriate set since we arrived (after getting caught in a speed trap 30 minutes from our destination) had about two hours then the weather went nuts. At one point we were flanked by tornado warnings to our north and south only about 15 miles apart (with confirmed tornados for both). Thankfully that was as close as it ever got. We had a downpour then a quiet night. Took had a good meal, took in the clean air, played some board games, then came home. Hopefully next time we get a chance to go down it’ll be a little longer and dryer (and I remember about the speed trap.)

Good shave this morning, finally broke out the Everette I’ve had for a while but not had time to use. 2 days until the games!

May 31, 2024 – The day before….

What to use the last day before LG is hard. You’re locked into your calendar for a month, and so many good smells will go unused. In the end, I opted for my new tub of Roman spice. I’ve been using the toner and frag but not the soap. I haven’t actually used highland base yet aside for a smush of Blackwatch. It’s stupid soft. a 12 second load and I had too much soap. I’ll drop to 8 next time. But it’s also super slick, shave went off without a hitch. Smooth. I’ve been struggling with some irritation on my chin the last week. I’m not enthused about that going into the games. But sacrifices to skin must be made.
